CUT-OFF AND GRINDING DISCS 03 1021 NZ. pub. 09/14 © General Operating and Safety Instructions. • Store discs systematically and correctly, keep dry at 20°C. • Work only with the appropriate protective equipment, e.g. gloves, footwear with steel toecaps, ear protection, dust mask. • Use only the specially designed original tension flanges for attaching the cut-off and grinding discs. • Do not use faulty or worn flanges. • Cut-off and grinding work should only be performed using the correct protective guard. • Using damaged discs increases the risk of accident. Work only with undamaged discs. • Observe the maximum permitted peripheral speed. • Do not attach worn discs to smaller machines. Areas of Application: Special Operating and Safety Instructions: Cut-off Work: • Cut-off wheels are not permissible for rough grinding. • Do not jam wheels in cut. • Increased risk of breakage! • A slight pendulum movement in the cut causes the wheel to be cut free. • Ensure proper contact pressure. • The machines own weight is generally sufficient. • Ensure proper clamping of work piece. • Always clamp cut-off wheels (straight version) with metal ring toward machine.
